Have Your Say At Neighbourhood Forums
Local residents are invited to come along and have their say at
the next Sandwich Area Neighbourhood Forum meeting on Thursday 21
January 2010 at The Guildhall, Sandwich from 7pm.
The Forum will be discussing a range of subjects affecting how
safe we feel in our neighbourhood, under the title ‘Watch
Out!’ Subjects under discussion will include doorstep scams
and bogus callers, dodgy dealers, loan sharks and speeding.
The meeting will provide information and advice to help residents,
with speakers including Mark Rolfe, KCC Trading Standards Manager
for East Kent, and local Police Officers PC Ian Woodland and
PC Wayne Wright.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions about local
public services.
Doors open at 6.30pm, with light refreshments and an opportunity
to meet your local County, District, Town and Parish Councillors,
and other Forum members. Residents will also have an opportunity to
talk to a representative from the Dover District Community Safety
Partnership. All suggestions are welcomed from local people about
what they would like to discuss at future meetings.
