Feel Alive - And Get Active
People of all ages are enjoying the chance to have fun and feel
alive at free events this summer from Active Dover – including the
fantastic Feel Alive and Get Active day held at Victoria Park and
Tides Leisure Centre in Deal on Saturday, (6 June).
Around 1,500 people came along to enjoy a range of
activities at Victoria Park, including an archery and mountain bike
skills areas, the TechZone Gaming Truck, 5-a-side football
tournaments, chances to have a go at tennis, cricket, hockey, golf,
rugby and family fun games, beginner sessions in BMX,
skateboarding, and inline skating, and a skate bowl competition led
by Revolution. A packed series of events in the Sports Hall
included table tennis, cheerleading, Tai Chi, street dance,
fitness, and dance performances by Kent Youth Service. The
event, which was previously known as Passport 2 Sport, was
organized by Active Dover.
Active Dover is a new partnership aimed at ensuring you
have plenty of ways to keep fit, healthy and stay active, no matter
what your age. Active Dover is made up of a range of partners

The day in Deal was the second in a series of three exciting
events organized by Active Dover as part of Feel Alive
2009. This follows an event at Fowlmead Park on Bank
Holiday Monday (25 May), and a forthcoming Get Wet event is being
held at Pencester Gardens, Dover Sea Sports Centre and Dover
Leisure Centre on Saturday 18 July.
