FEEL ALIVE is back for 2010!

LAST YEAR 8,000 people took part in over 60 sports and fun activities at 3 FREE events held across the district called all called FEEL ALIVE!

THIS YEAR, its BACK!! ...with events taking place from 10am – 4pm on; 

• Sunday 6th June at Tides Leisure Centre & Victoria Park in Deal
• Saturday 24th July at Dover’s Pencester Gardens, and
• Sunday 25^th July at Dover Sea Sports Centre for those people who have signed up the day before for a free water sports taster session
• Sunday 15th August at Fowlmead Country Park situated between Deal and Sandwich.

The events are organised by ‘Active Dover’ the districts ‘Community Sports Network’, and are jointly funded by the town, district and county councils coming together with local leisure providers.

Volunteers!

Would you like to volunteer your time with a friend or family member and have fun in the process?

... then ‘Feel Alive is the perfect opportunity for you. All volunteers will receive:

• Active Dover T-shirt to wear as a uniform on the day
• FREE i-Tunes or WH Smiths Voucher
• FREE refreshment voucher on the day of the event
• FREE Swimming Vouchers for Dover or Tides Leisure Centres
• ...and last but not least a certificate of thanks for your time and commitment

Simply complete the ‘Volunteer Registration Form’ and email to Sarah.Philpott@dover.gov.uk

Age restrictions: 12-17yrs must be accompanied by an adult (1 adult : 4 young people), adults supervising more than 4 young people must complete the 'Group Leader Consent Form'

For sports clubs and health related organisations wanting to organise a mini taster session or show-case what their club/organisation has to offer, simply complete the 'FEEL ALIVE registration form' and email to Sarah.Philpott@dover.gov.uk

‘Feel Alive’ is all about; raising awareness of where sporting and recreational activities take place locally, and encouraging people of all ages and abilities to ‘have-a-go’ and stay healthy by getting involved in the long-term!
