Redundancy

Being made redundant can be difficult and stressful. We are working together with the Jobcentre Plus, Next Steps, Learn Direct and other agencies to provide information to employees throughout the district who are facing redundancy. We are also working with businesses and offer advice surgeries at the place of work for employees who are facing redundancy.

We have a dedicated redundancy specialist based in the Health and Well-being Team who can arrange to meet with you at our offices or visit you at home.

We are working together to ensure that the following information is provided:

  • alternative jobs
  • benefits and taking claims
  • help with CVs
  • mortgage rescue scheme.

We want to help you

If you are about to be made redundant or have already been made redundant, or you know someone who is faced with redundancy or has been made redundant then, please pass on our details. We are here to help as many of our residents as possible.

We can be contacted via the Health and well-being helpline on 01304 872338 or by emailing us on Healthandwellbeing@dover.gov.uk.
