Financial Help & Guidance
There is nothing more stressful than being in debt and worrying
about where you are going to get the money to pay your bills.
The worse thing anyone can do is ignoring the situation and hope
it will go away; unfortunately these issues do not just disappear
and it can lead to the situation getting worse.
We are able to give general advice and point people in the
direction of the Citizen's Advice Bureau, who we
are working together with to ensure that people are able to
get appointments to start dealing with their financial
situation.
Dover District Council is also working on a financial inclusion
plan that aims to ensure that by March 2014 everyone has access to
appropriate financial products, affordable credit, free debt advice
and the confidence and capability to use them to make positive
differences to their health and well-being and to that of the
communities in which they live.
