Annual Monitoring Report (AMR)
In order to establish what is happening now in the District and
what may happen in the future, monitoring is an essential component
of the LDF process. The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004,
requires the District Council to submit an Annual Monitoring Report
to the Secretary of State containing information on the
implementation of the Local
Development Scheme and the extent to which the
policies set out in the Local Development Documents have been
achieved. The AMR can also be used to propose changes to the Local
Development Scheme.
As the Inspector's Report into the Core Strategy will not be
available until after the Annual Monitoring Report for 2008/2009
has been published, the Government Office for the South
East (GOSE) have confirmed that it is acceptable for the District
Council to register its intention to amend the LDS
in discussion with GOSE in the New Year rather than
include an amended LDS in this year's AMR which might need altering
as a result of the Inspector's Report on the Core Strategy.
