Feed In Tariffs(Clean Energy Cashback Scheme) This scheme was introduced on 1 April 2010.  It encourages small scale (less than 5MW) low carbon electricity generation from renewable technologies (wind, solar photovoltaics (PV), hydro, anaerobic digestion or domestic scale microCHP(capacity of 2kW or less).  Eligible producers receive a guaranteed rate for each unit of electricity generated and exported. Boiler Scrappage Scheme

This scheme is now closed to new applicants as all the vouchers have now been allocated to householders in England.

 

Low Carbon Building Programme (Ex Clearskies)

 

A scheme for encouraging homeowners and community groups to take an active part in the climate change agenda. Grants will only be awarded to homeowners where an accredited installer is to be used. Grants of up to £2,500 will be considered for:

  • Solar Water Heating
  • Wind Generation
  • Hydro
  • Ground Source Heat Pumps
  • Automated Wood Pellet Stove
  • Wood Fuel Burner
  • Wood Fuel Boilers (biomass)

Winter Fuel Payments
Government funded

£125- £400 per eligible household.

 

If you were over 60 on or before 27 September 2009, and lived in Great Britain or Northern Ireland on any day betweeen 21 - 27 September 2009 you may qualify.

Warm Front Grants

For householders on benefits

  • Up to £3,500 for Householders with a child under 16 and on benefits .
  • Up to £3,500 for householders over 60 and on benefits,
  • Up to £6,000 if you are off mains gas supplies and on benefits.

Cold Busters

You may be eligible for heating and insulation measures provided by Coldbusters if you are receiving one or more means tested benefit such as:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Job Seeker's Allowance
  • Council Tax Benefit
  • Disabled Person's Tax Credit
  • Guaranteed Pension Credit

 

The following measures are available:

  • Cavity wall and loft insulation
  • Draughtproofing
  • Replacement boiler/heating system.
