Commemorative Plaques

As an alternative to commemorative benches along Deal & Walmer seafront, we have introduced Commemorative Plaques.

This is the installation of bronze cast plaques along the splash wall at Deal. It is hoped that these plaques will have a longer life span than the benches, be less prone to theft and require no future maintenance (unless the owners wish to take care of the plaque). This means the costs can be kept down and a wider audience of people will be able to afford a memorial for their loved ones, as well as enhancing the appearance of the wall.

The plaques are 7 x 5 inches and take approximately 7 weeks to arrive once ordered. Falon Nameplate Ltd provide the plaques.

Enclosed with this information you will see there are two types of inscription layout you can choose from.

A - Short message – 65 characters
C - Long message as per instructions

The inscriptions are finished on a black background with the wording and borders raised in gold as per the above picture. (The commemorative trees at Granville Road/ Marke Wood have the same plaque if you would like to see them in situ).
