As an alternative to commemorative
benches along Deal & Walmer seafront, we are introducing a new
scheme -
Commemorative
plaques.
Dover District Council can install commemorative benches on
council owned land.

Engraving into Wood
Lettering has a standing charge of £17.00 plus:
¾ inch lettering £1 per letter
1 inch lettering £1 per letter
1 ½ inch lettering £1 per letter
2 inch lettering £1 per letter
As a guideline, on 6ft Mendip bench the maximum number of letter
are as follows:
¾ inch lettering - 1 line of 86 letters or 2 lines totalling 172
letters
(up to 24 letters per panel for tree seat)
1 inch lettering - 1 line of 58 letters or 2 lines totalling 116
letters
(up to 16 letters per panel for tree seat)
1 ½ inch lettering - 1 line of 40 letters
2 inch lettering - 1 line of 36 letters

Bronze, Brass or Stainless Steel £17.00
Lettering £1.00 per letter
Delivery
Should your purchase order total £1000 or less, an additional
delivery charge of £40 will be made. Please note that benches with
wood engraving can be supplied within 4 – 6 weeks of the order.
Benches with name plates may take up to an additional 5 weeks to
supply.
