A Customer
Access Review (C.A.R. – sometimes known as an Equality
Impact Assessment) is not just a legal requirement, it really helps
to improve services for the benefit of the whole community.
CARs are also used to focus on specific equality
strands to highlight areas where we need to promote equality of
opportunity for a particular group.
CARs are being done for all our existing policies,
strategies, functions and projects. They are also being done
as we embark on anything new, or when something changes.
