Disability Access and Historic Buildings
Restrictions apply to how listed and historic
buildings can be changed. This can be difficult when the change is
to do with disability access.
Dover District Council understands these
issues and has guidance to help you through the process. however,
the best option is for anyone considering access changes contacts

Dover District Council is a partner in the National Leaflet
Project. This contains leaflets offering general guidance and
advice, in various languages, so that local authorities and
customers can use them around the country. Braille copies are
available on request and an audio version of the leaflets is
available on the National Leaflets
website.
Please contact our Customer Services Team who will be
pleased to help you with any translation, interpretation,
Braille or sign requirements. They can be reached on the main
switchboard number 01304 821199.
We can guide you to translation services for most other
public documents on request. We will also provide large print or
audio tape versions for residents with visual impairments and our
website has read-speaker on most pages.
