Funding for local community projects
Small Community Capital Projects (2010-11)
Kent County Council and Dover District Council have
allocated £61,400 to the five Dover District Neighbourhood Forums
to award small capital grants for community projects.
Small Capital grants of up to
£2,500 are available to all types of organisations
and groups across the district and an
application pack (MS Word) is now available - please
see further application details below. Whilst there is no
minimum amount we would prefer not to receive requests for less
than £250, because the cost of processing these will usually be
more than the value of the grant.
All grants from the Small Community
Capital Projects Fund are one-off and for one year only
and must show benefit to the community.
Kent County Council is administering the Small Community Capital
Projects grant for the Dover District Neighbourhood Forums. Please
contact Anne Charman, KCC Community
Engagement Manager, for advice on who can, and how
to, apply for grant funding and to discuss any project you would
like support for. Please see contact details below.
The closing date for applications to the Small Community Capital
Projects grant fund was Friday 27 August 2010.
However, as of this date, applications to the
Deal & Walmer and Sandwich
Area Neighbourhood Forums were undersubscribed and
the deadline for these two forum areas has therefore been
extended to Friday 10 September. If you do not
already have an application form - please see the application
details below.
This does not apply to the Dover North, Dover West
and Dover Town Neighbourhood Forums' as these were all
oversubscribed, and we can no longer accept applications to these
three forum areas.
