Business Rates Hardship Fund
A special hardship fund was set up to support businesses who
were struggling during the recession. It was only able to provide
help with Business Rates. The recession is now officially over and
the hardship find has been suspended. The Council will be
monitoring the effect on the economy and may review this decision
in the future.
There has always been help available for businesses that
are suffering hardship and that scheme still continues, although
its award criteria is not specifically linked the the
recession.
