National Non-Domestic Rates
National Non-Domestic Rates (NNDR), also known as Business Rates
is the Government's tax on business properties. Business Rates
collected by the Council are paid into a central pool maintained by
the Government. This money is then redistributed to local
authorities on the basis of their population.
Help with 2009/2010 Business Rates Bill
On 31st July 2009 the Government introduced new Regulations
giving our ratepayers the opportunity to defer payment of a
proportion of the increase in their 2009/2010 Business Rates bill
until 2010/2011 and 2011/2012. More
